Mechanical safety and EMI/RFI
protection are major features of the
Thomas & Betts Metal and Plastic
Shell Ribbon Connectors
Together with Thomas & Betts Flat
Cable, matching backshells for
jacketed flat cable or special round
cable as well as different mounting
hardware accessories, they provide
reliable
and
functional
I/O
terminations.
Serial production of cable sets
benefits from efficient and electrically
safe installation of the flat cable. This
is ensured by beryllium copper
contacts and connector design.
The spread contacts, a proprietary
technique developed by Thomas &
Betts, allow the use of standard flat
cable on 1.27mm centers as well as
any mating Thomas & Betts
connectors.
Thomas & Betts Ribbon Connectors
are fully compatible with industry
standard 2.16mm center connectors.

mounting ears (through hole, metric
and UNC threaded insert).
• Stable plastic backshells, also

positions, with full screw mounting
hardware.
