Molex’s new 0.50mm pitch FFC/FPC connector with cable-tab feature offers the best combination in the
market of space savings, cable retention and usability in a cost-effective design.
One of the key features versus competitive versions of the new 503366 series is the robust Easy-On actuator
and cable-tab feature. This makes it easier for operators to guide the cable in and be sure it is fully seated.
Competitive versions offer front-flip actuators with no cable retention feature or slide-style actuators that make it
difficult for operators to insert the cable.
The Molex Easy-On™ actuator also rotates back 115 degrees, more than any other competitive version, to
provide a wide access area for cable insertion and extraction.
This new connector has been designed to incorporate some of the features such as robustness found in other
Molex connectors used in Flat-Panel applications, but in a more cost-effective design. Made with high-temperature
material that meets RoHS and halogen-free requirements, the connector has also been designed to meet rigorous
environmental standards.
