Description

The Remote Printer Interface (RPI) Module provides a parallel

printer interface to allow any 600 Series FACP to communicate

with and supervise a printer for logging system activity.

Printers can be used to log both testing and real life system

status whenever a hard copy record is required. The RPI’s

parallel output makes supervised communication with virtually

any printer simple. The RPI is also capable of monitoring “off

line”, “paper out” and “no communications” conditions at the

printer.

The combination of any Remote Annunicator (RAN), Serial

Annunciator Drive or Remote Printer Interface (RPI) make up

the Gamewell Status Control Network.

The Status Control Network including RPI units is connected

to the main 600 Series control panel via an RS-232 data

communication line. The SIM-232 module is used to provide

an isolated RS-232 output from the main CPU of the 620, 630,

632, and 650 system panels. The IF610 comes with its own

built-in RS-232 port.
