PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Series 100 provide exceptional performance
at a very economical cost and are therefore ideally suited for precision
power applications. Superior stability results from all-welded construction
and low-tension windings of premium grade resistance wire on highly
thermal conductive ceramic cores. Proprietary coating provides excellent
environmental protection and solvent resistance. Solder coated copper
or copperweld leads offer excellent solderabilty and extended shelf life.
PULSE CAPABILITY:
Series 100 resistors offer excellent overload
capability resulting from wirewound construction. The overload
capability can often be economically enhanced by a factor of 50% or
more via special Option P processing. Pulse capability is highly dependent
on size and resistance value (available up to 500 joules).
INDUCTANCE:
small to medium sizes have typical inductance of 1 - 50uH.
Larger sizes and higher resistance values typically have greater levels.
For “non-inductive” design, specify Opt. X. The maximum series inductance
for Opt.X resistors at 0.5MHz is per MIL-R-39007 levels as listed in chart.
Specialty winding techniques are available

Increased range avail.
7
Resistance value is measured at 3/8” ± 1/16” from each end of body
8
RCD recommends that heavier gauge leads be specified on low values to enable lower leadwire resistance,
increased current capability, and improved TC
9
Lead length applies to bulk packaged units, parts supplied on tape may be shorter (refer to taping specification)
