Boost Your Mobile
Computing Experience
Our next-generation M500 solid state drive (SSD) is designed to
meet the increasingly demanding needs of the mobile computing
market. The M500 delivers strong performance, greatly reduces
power consumption, and provides exceptional data protection.
It is offered in three thin, ultra-compact form factors in several
different capacities.
Built using Micron’s 20nm NAND Flash—one of the most cost-
effective NAND devices in the industry—the M500 provides high
quality and reliability at a very competitive price. This drive gives
consumers a real boost in performance and responsiveness that will
keep them coming back for more SSD-powered solutions.

Low Power
Consumes less power, which translates to longer
battery life.
Robust Data Security and Reliability
Uses built-in data protection features, including best-in-
class encryption, to provide security and reliability without
impacting drive performance.
Flexibility
Meets unique application requirements with three ultra-
compact form factors available in several capacities.
1. Unformatted. 1GB = 1 billion bytes. Formatted capacity is less.
2. Data taken at 25°C using a SATA 6 Gb/s interface. Power measured while running MobileMark

Why Micron for SSDs?
•
Worldwide NAND Flash leadership
– Micron SSD customers
have the assurance of working with the world’s leader in
NAND Flash design. Our expertise in NAND technology sets us
apart as a vertically integrated supplier with the unique ability
to ensure end-to-end quality and to optimize our SSDs for our
NAND components.
•
Extensive testing
– Our rigorous product testing translates to
predictably reliable, high-quality drives.
•
Proven start-to-finish quality
– From component design to
fabrication to the finished package device, our stringent
quality requirements, significant investments in SSD test
equipment, and advanced NAND management algorithms
mean that reliability is literally built into every drive.
Nearly Half a Terabyte on a Stick of Gum:
The M500 drive’s
caseless, incredibly slim and ultra-compact M.2 form factor is
about the size of a stick of gum. It packs tremendous power and
performance into some very slender mobile designs.
Ideal for Ultrathins:
We built the M500 SSD to meet the performance and
power specifications of the ultrathin market. The drive’s device sleep and
adaptive thermal throttling features—coupled with its slim, durable form
factors, robust data protection, and instant-on response time—make it an
ideal storage solution for mobile computing.
