X2Y EMI FILTERS
Phycomp introduces a new EMI filter
component, using X2Y technology
which provides simultaneous
line-to-line and line-to-ground filtering
via a matched or balanced pair of
capacitors.
X2Y filters solve electro-magnetic
interference problems and safeguard
signal integrity.
X2Y filters consist of one X capacitor
and two Y capacitors in one ceramic
package.
ADVANTAGES
•
Replaces 2 - 7 capacitors and
inductors with one device.
•
Matched capacitance line to ground
on both lines.
•
Provides line to line capacitance in
the same device.
•
Extreme low inductance due to
cancellation effect.
•
Differential and common mode
noise attenuation.
•
Reduces board area required for
filtering.
•
Effects of temperature variation on
matching eliminated.
•
Effect of aging equal on both lines.
APPLICATIONS
•
EMI suppression
•
Decoupling
•
Common mode noise suppression
•
Trans voltage suppression (Surge)
•
Filtering
•
Balanced lines
•
Twisted pairs
