Wake-up from POWER-DOWN mode by
INT0/INT1, RTCI or H/W RESET.
RTC (Real Time Clock) function.
Four channels 6-bits Analog to Digital
Converter (ADC).
General Description
The SM89S16R1 is a single-chip 8-bits micro-
controller manufactured in an advanced CMOS
process with on chip flash memory. It supports a
derivative of the 80C51 microcontroller family.
The SM89S16R1 has the same instructions set as
the 80C51.
The SM89S16R1 contains a 64K x 8 bits on chip
program flash, a volatile 1024 x 8 bits data RAM,
four 8-bits I/O ports, one 4-bits I/O port, two
16-bits timer/event counters, and an additional
16-bits timer coupled to capture and compare
latches, a two-priority-level, nested interrupt
structure, two PWM clock outputs, one serial
interfaces (UART bus). For system that requires
extra capability the SM89S16R1 can be expanded
using standard TTL and LVTTL compatible
memory and logic.
In addition, The SM89S16R1 has two software
selectable modes of power saving – IDLE mode
and POWER-DOWN mode. The IDLE mode
freezes the CPU while allowing the RAM, timer,
serial ports, and interrupt system to continue
functioning. The POWER-DOWN mode saves the
RAM contents but freezes the oscillator, causing all
other chip functions to be inoperative.
