Applications Note:
MtronPTI offers an excellent alternative to Vectron’s EX-380 series with the MtronPTI XO5166 and XO5167
OCXO series. The XO5166 and XO5167 performance parameters are equal to or very similar to the Vectron
EX-380 series parameters. In addition, the MtronPTI XO5166 and XO5167 OCXO series is very price com-
petitive with production quantity lead times of 8 to 10 weeks.
If required, the XO5166 and XO5167 series offers full Stratum 3 compliance per GR-1244-CORE and herme-
ticity per MIL-STD-202, Method 112. The XO5166 is a 3.3V device and the XO5167 is a 5.0V device.
Typical applications for the XO5166 and XO5167 include Digital Switching Networks, Telecom Transmission
Equipment, Wireless Communications, SONET/SDH/DEDM/FDM/ATM/3G, Airborne and Military Equipment.

Product Description
The MtronPTI XO5166 and XO5167 OCXO series is an excellent alternative to the Vectron
EX-380 series. The XO5166 and XO5167 series offers full Stratum 3 compliance per GR-1244-
CORE and hermeticity per MIL-STD-202, Method 112. The series is offered in leaded through
hole and SMT surfboard mounting options. The XO5166 has a supply voltage of 3.3 Vdc, and the
XO5167 has a supply voltage of 5.0 Vdc with HCMOS compatible output.
