Overview
The NI 9207 combination voltage and current input C Series module has eight channels of ±21.5 mA input and eight channels of ±10 V input with built-in 50/60 Hz rejection for
noise rejection. Designed with industrial systems in mind, the NI 9207 combines the two most common inputs to reduce the overall number of modules you need. A system that
uses fewer modules has the benefit of leaving slots open for other measurement types or reducing the overall cost and size of the system. The NI 9207 has a standard 37-pin
D-Sub connection, for use with available cables and connector blocks, or the NI 9937 D-Sub connector kit. The NI 9937 contains a D-Sub to screw terminal accessory as well as a
protective shell. With this kit, you can create a custom cable that plugs directly into the module, eliminating the need for a separate terminal block.

Application and Technology
Reduce Noise with 50/60 Hz Rejection/Filtering
Designed to work in noisy environments, the NI 9207 has built-in 50/60 Hz rejection. This style of filter attenuates the most common noise in an industrial environment that is
caused by lighting, motors, and power lines.
Voltage and Current Measurement from the Same Module
The NI 9207 was designed to combine the two core measurements of voltage and current. With this module, you can measure up to eight differential voltage signals and up to
eight current inputs at the same time.
Voltage Supply Pins for Easier Wire Routing
The NI 9207 has multiple voltage supply (V
SUP
) pins so you can wire a single power supply into the module and then route the power to the individual sensors through the module
I/O pins. It can support up to 2 A of current and up to 30 VDC through the V
SUP
terminals. In addition to multiple V
SUP
pins, the module offers several COM pins for an easier
wiring experience.
Industrial Ratings for Rugged and Reliable Operation
NI C Series modules have industrial certifications and ratings for operation in harsh environments. Modules are rated for a -40 to 70 °C (-40 to 158 °F) temperature range, 50 g
shock, and hazardous locations or potentially explosive environments (Class I, Division 2). The NI 9207 features 60 VDC, CAT I isolation and up to 1,000 Vrms transient
withstand. Each module comes with a variety of international safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and environmental certifications and ratings. For more specific
information on the industrial certifications and other specifications, refer to the operating instructions manual.
Note: Not all C Series systems conform to the maximum specifications of the individual modules. Consult the specifications section of the manual for the specific chassis or carrier
to determine the maximum operational environment.
C Series Compatibility
The C Series hardware family features more than 50 measurement modules and several chassis and carriers for deployment. With this variety of modules, you can mix and match
measurements such as temperature, acceleration, flow, pressure, strain, acoustic, voltage, current, digital, and more to create a custom system. Install the modules in one of
several carriers to create a single module USB, Ethernet, or Wi-Fi system, or combine them in chassis such as NI CompactDAQ and CompactRIO to create a
mixed-measurement system with synchronized measurements. You can install up to eight modules in a simple, complete NI CompactDAQ USB data acquisition system to
synchronize all of the analog output, analog input, and digital I/O from the modules. For a system without a PC, CompactRIO holds up to eight modules and features a built-in
processor, RAM, and storage for an embedded data logger or control unit. For higher-speed control, CompactRIO chassis incorporate a field-programmable gate array (FPGA)
that you can program with NI LabVIEW software to achieve silicon-speed processing on I/O data from C Series modules. See the
C Series Compatibility Chart
for information on
supported modules and carriers.

Support and Services
System Assurance Programs
NI system assurance programs are designed to make it even easier for you to own an NI system. These programs include configuration and deployment services for your NI PXI,
CompactRIO, or Compact FieldPoint system. The NI Basic System Assurance Program provides a simple integration test and ensures that your system is delivered completely
assembled in one box. When you configure your system with the NI Standard System Assurance Program, you can select from available NI system driver sets and application
development environments to create customized, reorderable software configurations. Your system arrives fully assembled and tested in one box with your software preinstalled.
When you order your system with the standard program, you also receive system-specific documentation including a bill of materials, an integration test report, a recommended
maintenance plan, and frequently asked question documents. Finally, the standard program reduces the total cost of owning an NI system by providing three years of warranty
coverage and calibration service. Use the online product advisors at ni.com/advisor to find a system assurance program to meet your needs.
