Size
The GF series are general purpose metal oxide varistors from UCC/NCC that include a built-in
thermal fuse. The values available for the GF series varistors are versions of the general purpose G
series that have a designed-in thermal fuse. This added thermal fuse allows the GF series varistors to
handle higher peak currents than the standard G series varistors. Designed for use within a voltage
range of 175 to 510VAC makes the GF varistors suitable for various applications.

Maximum voltage range: 175 to 510VAC or 225 to 670VDC.

Maximum energy: 50 to 190 J depending on case size.
Maximum surge current: 2,500 to 4,000A.
Maximum case size (D H T ): 17.0 20.0 10.0mm and 25.0 32.0 10.0mm.

Nominal Varistor Voltage: Expressed in volts. The first two digits are
significant figures, and the third digit indicates the number of zeros
following these figures ( e.g. 270 = 27 V; 271 = 270V ).
Series Name: Indicates Basic Varistor Style.
