Description
The TW050AB DiskPower converter is designed to power large-capacity disk drives and other mass storage
devices. It is ideal for implementing distributed power systems in disk array systems.
The module operates with input voltages from 36 Vdc to 72 Vdc and provides two outputs: 5 Vdc and 12 Vdc.
Each output is independently regulated. The output ripple and noise are very low. The 12 V output supports
surge currents up to 3.5 A in order to spin-up large disk drives.
Other features include overvoltage protection and current limiting on each output and a remote on/off input.
The module offers a very low failure rate and reliability ten times better than the disk drives begin powered.
