Safety Construction
Two-action removal of contact blocks
IDEC’s original two-action push-turn locking lever
provides a higher level of safety by preventing un-
expected release of the locking lever. Whether the
contact bock is installed securely can be checked
easily from the back of the panel, with the position of
the locking lever.

commitment to assuring safety in all operating environments has resulted in stylish,
compact, and space-saving control units. The innovative two-step locking lever integrated
with a guard provides a higher level of safety, and low projection from the panel surface reduces the
possibility of unexpected activation or damage of the operator. The CW series control units add a sleek and
stylish image to the panel with black or metallic bezels. The shortest depth behind the panel in its class*
contributes to reducing the size of your machines and control panels.

Sleek and stylish control units with
a 2.5mm-thick bezel
The CW series control units give a sleek, stylish image
to your machines or control panels. The surface is safer
with less chance of unexpected operation or accidents
by hitting the projections, and also is cleaner with less
dust build-up.

Space-saving design
Short depth behind the panel allows size reduction of
machines and panels. Up to 3 contact blocks (non-illumi-
nated type) and 2 contact blocks (illuminated type) can
be installed. Can be used with IDEC FB series or other
control boxes.
120V AC, 10A contact rating
No transformer needed—the same depth behind
the panel—for any illumination voltage.

Control Panel
Devices
Using conventional
control units
The depth behind the panel of the CW series is shorter
than the conventional control units, reducing the required
space in the control panel (compared with IDEC ø22mmm
HW series illuminated pushbutton with 2 contact blocks
and a transformer).

Notes for Using Illuminated Pushbuttons and Pilot Lights
When using LED illuminated control units, provide protection against electrical noise as shown below, otherwise the LED
elements will deteriorate, resulting in reduced brightness, hue change, or no lighting. Use an RC circuit or surge absorber
for suppressing noise.
