MAIN CHARACTERISTICS
The Amphenol HCFF butt
coupled
fiber
optic
connector
is
a
hermaphroditic
miniature
connector for indoor and
external systems.
This product offers high performance optical multichannel
connections in a dense and lightweight design. It allows
daisy chains between multiple pieces of equipment
indoors or outdoors.
The threaded antidelocking coupling nut makes this
hermaphroditic connector very resistant to vibration and
shock.
The front of the HCFF
connector can easily be
removed with a single
screw driver to access the
optical ceramic ferrules
and clean them.
Technical description
• Small size (o.d. 22mm) butt coupled connector
• Hermaphroditic interface
• 2 and 4 channel products are intermatable
• 2 and 4 channel Plugs, Pigtails and Harnesses
• 2 and 4 channel jam nut receptacles with 0,9mm or
1,6mm pigtails and compact rear allowing for high
electronic density inside the pannel
• Threaded coupling nut with antidelocking system
• Front insulator removable for termini cleaning
• Typical Insertion Loss : 0.5 dB @ 1300 nm multimode
0.5 dB @ 1300 nm singlemode
• Typical return loss : - 30 dB @ 1300 nm singlemode
- 55 dB possible with APC termini
• Durability : 500 mating/unmating cycles
• Operating Temperature : -40°C, +85°C
• Water resistant
• Termination HCFF tool kits available
• FTOS harness maintenance tool kits available
• HCFF is interchangeable with the lens connector HCL
