can save component count, board space, and cost
over crystals and oscillators, and increase reliability
by eliminating up to three expensive mechanical
devices from the board.

External Components
A minimum number of external components are required for proper oscillation. A decoupling capacitor of
0.1µF should be connected between VDD and GND on pins 2 and 3, and 33Ω terminating resistors may
be used on each clock output if the trace is longer than 1 inch.
