®
indoor drop cable provides efficient
and rapid deployment for high-rise apartments and MDU
applications.
The RPDpass
®
indoor drop cable assembly leverages
and optimizes the performance of ClearCurve
®
bend-
insensitive fiber capabilities with high-quality, factory-
terminated and -tested Corning connectors. Six, eight or
12 individually color-coded and numbered 1.65 mm inter-
connect cables are helically stranded in an easy-access
connectorized bundle. Using cable with a helical design
allows the craftsman to quickly identify and access a
particular fiber without having to cut binding materials or
undo S/Z-type stranding found in other cable designs.
The rapid installation reduces manpower by passing
apartments on a single floor in a fraction of the time
typically required for traditional deployments. Once in
place, individual drop cables can be easily accessed and
connectorized with field-installable SC APC connectors
for separate service drop connectivity to the apartment
optical network unit (ONU).
