Butt bonded thermocouples 20100 series
These thermocouples have their free filament supported on a temporary
polyimide film carrier. This is a tough, flexible and dimensionally stable
material rated at 260˚C continuous.
During installation the carrier can be peeled from the sensor or released by
the application of heat, alternatively parts of the carrier may be cut away
with scissors or a knife. Designed primarily for application with ceramic
cements. The free foil thermocouple can be easily brushed into a thin layer
of cement following application and drying of a thin insulating layer if an
ungrounded junction is required.
• Response time down to 1mS (grounded)
• Low mass giving low thermal inertia (butt bonded
construction)
• Flexible will bond to flat or curved surfaces
• May be used with any standard readout equipment
