SMD Power Inductor High Current: Open Wound - SSL0804 Series
• The SSL0804 series of surface mount inductors is designed
for the smallest possible size, lower cost, and highest perform-
ance. Their high energy storage and very low resistance make
them the ideal inductors for DC-DC conversion in notebook
computers. PDAs, set-up or step-down converters, flash mem-
ory programmers, etc.
• For reliable surface mounting, we’ve designed the SSL Series
with a flat top and robust temperature deflection to prevent
damage during solder reflow.

• These surface mount power inductors provide excellent cur-
rent carrying capabilities in a small footprint component - up to
3.5 Arms with an 8 Adc saturation current rating for a 10µH part.
• These parts were engineered from the start for reliable surface
mounting. They have a flat top and robust temperature deflec-
tion to prevent damage during solder reflow.
• In addition to the standard versions shown here custom induc-
tors are available to meet your exact requirements.

SMD Power Inductor High Current Open Wound - SSL1306 Series
• This series of surface mount power inductors is designed for
the higher current requirements of the Pentium Pro and other
portable and handheld devices.
• A 1µH inductor is rated at 8.6 Arms with a saturation current
of 20 Amps. Exceptionally low dc resistance (as low as .011Ω)
keeps power losses to a minimum.
• The SSL1306T Series was designed specifically for surface
mounting. It has a flat top for reliable pick and place operations
and features robust temperature deflection.
• In addition to the standard versions shown here, custom
inductors are available to meet your exact requirements.
