DESCRIPTION
The CAT809 and CAT810 are microprocessor
supervisory circuits that monitor power supplies in
microprocessor-based systems and other digital systems.
Featuring reduced power supply current, the CAT809
and CAT810 are direct replacements for the MAX809
and MAX810.
A reset signal is asserted if the power supply voltage drops
below a preset threshold level. Seven threshold levels are
available to support 5V, 3.3V, 3.0V and 2.5V systems. The
CAT809 has an active LOW reset output that is guranteed
to be asserted for at least 140ms after the supply voltage
has risen above the threshold voltage. The CAT810 has
an active HIGH reset. The CAT809/810 have push-pull
outputs that do not require pull-up resistors. Fast transients
on the power supply are ignored and the outputs are
guaranteed to be in the correct state with the power supply
voltage as low as 1V.
The CAT809/810 are fully specified over the operating
temperature range and are available in compact 3-pin
SOT-23 and SC70 packages.
