GENERAL
OCTA-PAC™ PLUS
is an advanced product enhance-
ment utilizing a recently developed new core material
technology design. This newly developed technology
allows for the same physical dimensions of our existing
OCTA-PAC™
product line with up to twice the current
carrying ability and energy storage.
OCTA-PAC™ PLUS
can be used as both an inductor or
a 1:1 transformer for any magnetics application where a
low core loss material is desired.
These magnetic products may be used in many engi-
neering applications depending on their connection (ref:
configuration drawings). When used as inductors, they
provide low inductance with high current when wired in
parallel or higher inductance with lower current if wired in
series. When used as 1:1 transformers, they provide
300V electrical isolation and an extremely wide voltage
transformation range in the flyback mode.
These toroidal inductors deliver constant electrical oper-
ating characteristics with virtually no radiated fields for a
wide range of user applications.

ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIFICATIONS
• Storage Temperature Range: -40° to +125°C
• Operating Ambient Temperature Range:
-40°C to +85°C range is application
specific. The internal “hot-spot” temperature defines the
maximum allowable currents, which are limited to
130°C, including
ambient.
• Infrared Reflow Temperature: +240°C for 30 seconds
maximum
