Using the Wi-Fi Cloud IoT Development Kit alongside access to the Anaren Atmosphere™
online development suite and Atmosphere Cloud™ hosting client, Anaren provides a
cohesive sensor-to-server ecosystem for developing Wi-Fi applications.
The ability to develop and test projects for the Anaren
AIR for Wi-Fi A43364 module has arrived with the Wi-
Fi Cloud IoT Development Kit. The kit uses a stacked
design featuring two separate boards: the A43364
Development Board that embeds the A43364 module,
and the Multi-Sensor Shield that includes a variety of
sensors used to test various peripherals. The A43364 is
a high-performance, low-power Wi-Fi module based on
the Cypress CYW43364 chipset, is IEEE 802.11b/g/n
compliant, and meets worldwide regulatory and
certification requirements.*
The A43364 Development Board and Multi-Sensor
Shield both feature an Arduino-compatible footprint --
able to be plugged into an Arduino as a Wi-Fi shield and
sensor shield, respectively -- and either one can be used
individually with an Arduino for complete cross-platform
compatibility.
Offering the ideal Wi-Fi development solution, the kit
is used with Anaren Atmosphere, Anaren’s innovative
cloud-based development environment and Atmosphere
Cloud hosting client. Using these tools together, the
Wi-Fi Cloud IoT Development Kit provides a complete
rapid prototyping IoT toolkit for faster development and
quicker time to deployment.

A43364 Development Board
Multi-Sensor Shield
In addition to embedding the module, the A43364
Development Board includes several other features:

Support for various peripheral interfaces, including
UART, SPI, I²S, I²C, USB, CAN, JTAG, GPIO, and ADC
•
Arduino-compatible footprint allows the board to act
as a Wi-Fi shield while it is plugged into an Arduino
•
The numerous jumpers can be connected directly to
the same Arduino pins for cross-platform functionality
The Multi-Sensor Shield contains each of the various
sensors used for quickly and easily demonstrating
interaction through demos and example projects. In
addition to the included sensors, the Multi-Sensor Shield
also features:

A GPIO expander
•
Arduino-compatible footprint, so the shield can be
plugged into and used with other Arduino boards
Use Anaren Atmosphere and the Atmosphere Cloud to
develop projects and test a variety of sensors
with the Wi-Fi Cloud IoT Development Kit.
Atmosphere is an easy-to-use and innovative development suite consisting
of a free cloud-based Atmosphere IDE, programming software, and mobile
app. The Atmosphere IDE features a unique “drag-and-drop” interface that
allows users to quickly and easily develop firmware for the module and
simultaneously create a browser interface to interact with the module.
Atmosphere includes the Atmosphere Cloud™, a freemium cloud hosting
client that sends and receives data between the A43364 module and the
cloud. The cloud is completely customizable and can host your supported
devices for data analysis, information, monitoring, and much more.
