Clean-Walk Unframed Mats
5830 Series
Description
3M™ Clean-Walk Unframed Mats
5830 Series are a multi-sheeted
adhesive system that removes dirt
and contaminants form shoe soles,
wheels, and other passing objects
on contact. Comprised of a thin
adhesive backed colored base
topped by 30 or 60 removable
adhesive polyethylene sheets that
lock direct in place until discarded.
Unlike beveled edged
products, edge remains clean
during use.
Helps extend the life of floor
surfaces by reducing the
amount of contamination
caused by foot traffic.
Application Techniques
Apply to a clean, dry floor
surface free of dirt, oil and other
contaminants.
Not intended for outdoor use
or use in areas with excessive
moisture or direct sunlight
.
Applications
Not recommended for use on
carpeted surfaces – for
carpeted surfaces 3M™ Clean-
Walk Framed Mat 5840 should
be considered.
For use in industrial settings to
prevent contamination between
high traffic production areas
and office environments.
Ideal for fabricated metal
shops, machinery and
electronics equipment
operations, printing and
publishing facilities,
construction and remodeling
projects, health care facilities,
warehouses, office,
commercial and government
buildings.
For use in clean room
entrances.
Perfect for use with other non-
adhesive mats for a complete
mat protection program.
General Use Directions
Refer to product directions “3M™
Clean-Walk Unframed Mats 5830
Series” for specific use instructions.
Special Features
Contains antimicrobial
properties that inhibit fungal
growth in the mat.
Acrylic adhesive securely
adheres mat to smooth floor
surfaces such as concrete and
resists adhesive transfer when
removed.
Adhesive sheets hold dirt
securely until discarded to help
provide a cleaner work
environment.
Individually tabbed and
numbered sheets remove
quickly and easily, exposing a
clean sheet ready for immediate
use.
Numbered sheets help ensure
one sheet removal and identify
the number of remaining
applications.
Low profile construction reduces
the risk of workers tripping and
allows free movement of foot or
wheel traffic.
Storage
Store under normal conditions of
60°F to 80°F (16°C to 27°C) and
40 to 60% R.H. in the original
carton.
Shelf Life
To obtain best performance, use
this product within 12 months from
date of manufacture.
