Discontinuance
Effective immediately, 3M is discontinuing all SIP Socket Strips, SBE Series, dual-row. Manufacturing
support is no longer available for this product series. These products are not listed in the current distributor
price pages, catalog or 3M web site.
Alternative Solution
Customers may substitute 3M™ SIP Socket Strips, SBE Series, single-row (TS-1090) placed side-by-side
for the discontinued dual-row products. These are promoted in the current distributor price pages, catalog
and 3M web site. 3M™ SIP Socket Strips, SBL Series, single-row are also a potential substitute with a
thinner plastic body.
Actions Required
•
Please notify existing customers of the discontinuance and qualify alternative solution. 3M will not be
offering the typical advanced notice for last purchase of the discontinued products since the
manufacturing capability is not available.
Distribution may return discontinued products in original standard packaging at current distributor
pricing. Return requests must be submitted in writing to the distributor’s customer service
representative by November 30, 2003.
The return request will be reviewed and the distributor notified of the RMA number and 3M return
location. Product must be received at the designated return location no later than December 31, 2003 to
be honored for credit.

If this product is defective
within the warranty period stated above, your exclusive
remedy shall be, at 3M’s option, to replace or repair the 3M
product or refund the purchase price of the 3M product.
Except where prohibited by law, 3M will not be liable for
any loss or damage arising from this 3M product,
whether direct, indirect, special, incidental or
consequential regardless of the legal theory asserted
