MATERIALS
1. INSULATION SLEEVE: Heat-shrinkable, transparent blue, radiation cross-linked modified polyvinylidene fluoride.
2. SOLDER PREFORM WITH FLUX AND THERMAL INDICATOR:
SOLDER: TYPE Sn96 per ANSI-J-STD-006.
FLUX:
TYPE ROM1 per ANSI-J-STD-004.
THERMAL INDICATOR: Color change orange to colorless.
3. MELTABLE RINGS: Environment resistant thermoplastic. Color: blue.
4. PRE-INSTALLED LEAD: Raychem 55A0813-22-90 in accordance with MIL-W-22759/41-22-90 AWG22 stranded nickel
plated copper. Color: white stripped black.
APPLICATION
1. These parts are designed to an environment resistant shield termination on cables, rated for 150C minimum, meeting the
dimensional criteria listed, having nickel-plated shields and insulations compatible with the insert material.
See MIL-S-83519/1 or consult Raychem.
2. Temperature range: -55C to +175C.
3. Parts shall be marked with identification code per table.
4. Install using Raychem-approved convection or infra-red heating tools in accordance with Raychem process standard
RCPS-100-70. Infrared tools are not recommended for use with black jackets.
