Parallel-Tap Connector for Copper Wire
KS-23836 Connectors and dielectric covers
make it safe and easy to connect up to three
parallel branch wires from a single main wire.
KS-23836
Parallel-tap (H-tap) Connectors allow
you to make parallel connections between a
main wire and one, two, or three branch wires.
Connectors are offered for use with wire sizes
14 AWG through 750 kCMil.
Robust Design
KS-23836
Parallel-tap Connectors are designed
specifically for the telecommunications industry.
The connectors feature high conductivity and low
voltage drop. Electro-tin plated wrought copper
design prevents possible corrosion.
Quick and Easy Installation
Parallel-tap Connectors are easy to install by
using compression tools and color-coded dies.
The one-piece cover design snaps into place for
fast, easy, and reliable installation.
Improved Protection
High-density insulating material provides
excellent dielectric protection for 600 V
applications. Overlapping flash barriers and end
fingers protect against possible electrical flash-
over. Low oxygen index protects against fire.

Overlapping flash barriers
protect both seams against
possible electrical flash-over.
End fingers either remain
closed or wrap closely around
conductors.
Connector is heavy-duty, high-
conductivity wrought copper.
Electro-tin plating resists
corrosion.
Accommodates a wide range
of copper cable combinations:
— Class I stranding
— Class B stranding
— All combinations of Class I
and Class B stranding
(B/B, B/I, I/B, I/I)

Tap grooves function
independently of each other to
provide maximum design and
installation flexibility. One tap
must be used; the balance
may be used or left empty.
Accurate color-coded
connector matched to the
installation die system
simplifies installation and
reduces error.
Stabilizing cord helps secure
conductors and connector
during crimping.
When a crimp is made, the
die index is automatically
embossed on the connector to
simplify inspection and ensure
consistently reliable
connections.
