Toe Grounder Assembly 2053
Designed for use with high-heeled shoes, the Toe Grounder Assembly 2053 grounds
personnel when they are in contact with conductive and dissipative flooring. A
comfortable elastic toe strap and 11 in. (28 cm) long conductive ribbon for insertion
into the shoe complete the ground path to the operator. To be effective, the Shoe
Grounders must be worn on both feet. Available with a 1 megohm resistor. Meets
category ESD SP9.2 Type A.

How Toe Grounders Work
Toe grounders virtually eliminates a charge on a person by electrically connecting the
person to a grounded surface. A conductive ribbon placed inside the wearer’s shoe or
sock makes electrical contact with the skin through perspiration. The assembly contains
a current-limiting resistor which protects the operator from accidental exposure to
electricity. Toe grounders must be worn on both feet to maintain ground contact while
walking.
