Category 6/Class E UTP interconnect patch
cords shall be constructed of 24 AWG twisted pair
stranded copper cable with the addition of a 26
AWG ninth conductor. The patch cords shall be
terminated with a shielded modular plug on one
end, with a nine wire modular plug on the opposite
end. Patch cords shall be used in conjunction
with intelligent patch panels and shall be used
exclusively for interconnect architectures.
