Introduction
The CHESEN CSA8013/CSA8013P USB On-The-Go
(OTG) Storage Bridge with MP3 interface Processor is a
highly integrated processor solution which designs for MP3
player integrated with storage bridge function. The USB
Storage Bridge Technology (patent pending) is a concept of
PC free data transfer between two USB Mass Storage Class
compliant devices. It optimized the up-to-date USB-OTG
technology with dual modules embedded and combined with
CSM-16 16-bit microprocessor core for neat and compact
data transfer/backup/sharing application. It supports the
storage devices with USB interface for example USB hard
disk, pen drive, DSC, MP3 player; and bridge with each
other without the needed of PC for files transfer.
Beyond the bridge, the integrated MP3 player function adds
on the whole system value without raise up the cost.
About USB-OTG
USB OTG is a new supplement to the USB 2.0 specification.
It challenges the capability of existing mobile devices and
USB peripherals by giving them an added host capability for
connection to other USB devices. These new features were
needed to upgrade standard USB technology for mobile,
peripheral devices and gateway bridge. These new features
include the additional host capability, smaller connectors,
and low power output, which eliminate the current
limitation in the USB that requires a PC to act as host.
