General Description
TheAAT1106 SwitchReg? is a 1.5MHz constant
frequencycurrentmodePWMstep-downconvert-
er with a unique adaptive slope compensation
schemeallowingthedevicetooperatewithalower
rangeofinductorvaluestooptimizesizeandpro-
vide efficient operation. It is ideal for portable
equipmentpoweredbysingle-cellLithium-ionbat-
teries and is optimized for high efficiency, achiev-
inglevelsupto96%.
TheAAT1106cansupplyupto600mAloadcurrent
from a 2.5V to 5.5V input voltage and the output
voltage can be regulated as low as 0.6V. The
device also can run at 100% duty cycle for low
dropoutoperation,extendingbatterylifeinportable
systems.Inaddition,light load operation provides
very low output ripple for noise sensitive applica-
tions and the 1.5MHz switching frequency mini-
mizesthesizeofexternalcomponentswhilekeep-
ingswitchinglosseslow.
The AAT1106 is available in adjustable and fixed
(1.5V, 1.8V) output voltage versions, comes in a
Pb-free,low-profile5-pinTSOT23package,andis
ratedoverthe-40°Cto+85°Ctemperaturerange.
